Camp Magic
Camp Magic is a specialised grief support program for children and teens aged 7 to 17 who are grieving the loss of a parent, guardian, or sibling. Over 2.5 days, participants gain a deeper understanding of their grief, learn coping strategies, and find connection in a supportive, group-based environment.
The program includes structured activities, group sessions, and expert-led workshops, helping campers build emotional resilience, regulate difficult emotions, and develop self-confidence. Each child is paired with a trained volunteer mentor who provides emotional support, encouragement, and guidance throughout the camp, ensuring they feel heard and understood. This mentor relationship, combined with peer connections, fosters a sense of solidarity and reduces feelings of isolation.
Developed by a clinical psychologist and the Feel the Magic leadership team, Camp Magic is grounded in evidence-based grief support practices. The camp empowers children and teens with the tools and skills they need to navigate their grief and move forward with strength, confidence, and emotional resilience.
